Unit 3 Formal Letters

a) A letter complaining about the inefficient bus service which you use every day to get to work. Explain the inconveniences that you and others have to put up with, and suggest ways of improving the service.

Points:
- the condition  of the buses is not good, they are very old and produce a lot of noise.
- the behaviour of the bus staff is very rude.
- over-speeding
- crowded seating
- the bus doesn't arrive on time
- smoking in side the bus
- charging money more than the pre determined rate

 Ans:

Dear sir,
I would like to attract the attention of the concerned bodies about the inefficient condition of the bus service in our town.
The overall condition of the buses is very poor. They are not maintained in regular basis. Most of them produce a lot of noise and pollution because they are very old. The seats are also not comfortable.
On the other hand, the bus staff's behaviour is totally frustrating. They speak very rudely to everyone even to the small children and senior citizens. The drivers are sometimes even drunk.
Finally, I would like to request regulatory bodies to look upon this problem in our town. This doesn't give good impression to the local people as well as the tourists. We must change this inefficient bus service by changing the old buses into new ones and giving moral lessons to the bus staff.

Sincerely Yours,
Deepak Budha
